Mission & Vision
David Olarte is a dance artist, educator, and Clinical Assistant Professor at Arizona State University, and co-director of Stilo Dance Company. He develops leaders through Afro-Latin dance—bridging academia and community through inclusive, high-level training, mentorship, and research-driven cultural practice.
My practice creates spaces where Afro-Latin dance connects people, culture, and community—honoring its roots while pushing it forward. I develop artists and leaders who listen, respond, and lead with intention, both on and off the dance floor.
